hCG is the placental pregnancy hormone, and an FDA-approved biologic — which is what its t1 tier reflects. It activates the LH receptor on testicular Leydig cells, the signal exogenous testosterone shuts off. The label covers cryptorchidism, some male hypogonadotropic hypogonadism and ovulation induction, not fertility preservation on testosterone replacement: that use, the one most readers come for, is off-label.
