TB-500 is not this molecule. Thymosin Beta-4 is the full-length 43-amino-acid peptide; mass spectrometry of TB-500 product (Esposito et al., 2012) found Ac-LKKTETQ, the acetylated 17-23 fragment — seven of forty-three residues. Trial and safety data on one do not transfer to the other, yet full-length trial data is routinely cited for fragment product; proteomic analysis of internet-marketed TB500 (Delcourt et al., 2023) found contents inconsistent with labelling.
